Robert Paul Cohen currently splits his time between Mexico City and the SF Bay Area. He was born in New York, received a Bachelor's of Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University and, while working as a copywriter for advertising agencies in NYC, took night classes at The International Center of Photography.
Robert is passionate about editorial/documentary portraiture but is almost as excited by reading and writing fiction, nerding-out over Mixed Martial Arts, and eating Pizza at Little Vincent's in Ronkonkoma Long Island (when proximity allows).
Selects from Robert's series "Pole Portraits" have been recognized in the 2023 Communication Arts Photography Annual. As well, selects from Robert's series, "The Twins of Igbo Ora," have been recognized in the 2020 Communication Arts Photography Annual and won first place in the 2020 Photo Annual Awards.
